TWO MONARCH CATERPILLARS FOUND!

A Milestone for the Garden! Whoo-Hoo! Stephanie and Rick "over the moon!"

Picture
We interrupt this blog for a breaking news announcement...
All season, there was only the one sighting of a Monarch, by Katie when Stephanie was in Brooklyn. We  worried we may not see another. And yet,  miraculously, this morning, chomping away, one on the Rose Milkweed, and one on another variety, TWO Monarch Butterfly caterpillars were found in the garden. Truly a banner day for the Smith Boeth Monarch Waystation, and a fitting reward for all the love and care and hard work that Stephanie has put into it. Hip Hip Hooray!
More later!

The Smith-Boeth Monarch Waystation was conceived by Rick and Stephanie as a place where Monarchs and other butterflies could find nectar, shelter, and a place to lay their eggs.
